Full Figured Fashion Week NYC 2011 - It's a wrap!

We’ve finally got back into the swing of things back home in Australia after New York’s Full Figured Fashion Week.

We started off with a rocky start, unfortunately missing some of the first events due to being grounded by the Volcanic ash in Chilli. However, with our fabulous bloggers and assistant helpers at the event, (Karen, Kim, Nicki, Tanisha and Nicole) Bennetts Boots were able to get the word out about our beautiful Wide calf boots.

We had an overwhelming and exciting response from the attendees as well as the public, and many independent boutiques were interested in stocking our boots. We are super excited to be working with some of these retailers.  

The overall experience was a positive response in regards to Bennetts Boots. We got a lot of feedback with regards to our products and what the US want.

The plus-size fashion industry in the US is a tight knit group and they don’t just let anyone in, these women know what they want! The fashion there is bold and certainly not discriminatory against big, beautiful women. It is so good seeing new and exciting plus-sizes store openings as well as existing stores, extending their range to cater for women of all shapes and sizes.
